Heres a few christmas pics. Picture one is the bauble muncher Darcy looking like butter wouldn't melt! lol Picture 2 is Fraser in his school concert in the traditional asian costume i made for him. Picture 3 is my tree before Darcy ate the baubles and Picture 4 is my new project. Its the 'Spread your wings' from cross stitcher 260. I am stitching it on gold fleck 18ct aida.

These are the first 3 cards i have done this year. I don't know who they are for yet. The Robin card is not yet finished. I underestimated the size of card i would need. I stitched it with some specialist threads which was fun. Its the first time i have used whisper thread.  The Michael Powell snow scene was fun to stitch. I really enjoyed watching it come to life with the backstitch. The snowman card was a card kit that was sent to me from another stitcher. Fraser loves this one and may have claimed it for himself :) I'm off to stitch more now......

Finished Single White Daisy (Shinysun)

I finished this last night, i'm so happy with it. It has 36,300 stitches. My next big project will be 'Attention' by shinysun which i will be starting 1st January as a SAL for Shinysun :D

I haven't uploaded a pic but i have finished chart 5 tonight and will start the final chart tomorrow :) I think i may finish by my targeted date of the end of October :)

New chart from Shinysun :)

This is my new chart from Shinysun which arrived yesterday. Its called 'Attention' and looks just like my cat Gypsy (above). I will be posting an update of daisy soon. I have given myself a target of the end of October to finish daisy. Then i will do my christmas cards before starting this chart. I may have to do little projects in between because i think all those dark colours will drive me nuts!! lol

a little update

A little disappointed

I printed out the chart this morning that i bought on pattensonline and it was a really bad copy and far too small for my eyesight :( Looks like it will be staying on file until i either have access to a good printer or i buy another. Oh well i'm sure i'll find something nice to stitch after daisy.

Page 4/6 finished single white daisy

I finished page 4/6 tonight. The confetti was annoying but i am happy with it. It hasn't taken me that long to finish this page. I am looking forward to seeing it finished now :)

New chart

I've just downloaded this pattern by Alessandra Adelaide Needleworks from www.patternsonline.com. There is a sale on at the moment on cat charts and this one was £1.95 in English pounds. I've already done an Angels Garden by the same designer. They are simple but effective charts. I just need to buy some nice opalescent fabric, haven't decided what colour to stitch it on yet :)

Stitching in the sun

 

I've been busy stitching for the past week and today have stitched for a few hours in the sun :) I am now halfway through page 4 of daisy.

Browsing the internet

Two posts in one day! i think i must be bored lol. I've been browsing the internet and have compiled this wishlist for future reference. The first is a new design by Heritage called Scarlett, the 2nd is called Toddles christmas carol and the 3rd is a Haed Stocking Teddy Bear Tree by Dona Gelsinger. The internet is not good for the bank balance, i think toddles will be the first one i buy until i finish the daisy :)

Back to daisy

I have made a start on page 4 of Single White Daisy :) I had a night in last night stitching while the boys went to footy, so i made myself comfy (bad back)  and stitched. I really want to finish it before next April so my Grandma can take it home to Majorca with her. I have coursework too so will need to stitch a little faster! lol.  Some more news - Hannah from Cross Stitch Gold has sent lots of model stitching to the care home i work in. I went in work this morning to have a look. They are lovely and  will look fab when they are displayed.

Zingy magnet

I finished zingy today. Its 3 over 1 on 14ct plastic canvas. I have missed out a row but its too late to change it now. I'm ready to go back to stitching the daisy now :)

I've finally finished page 3/6 of the daisy, i am going to have a little break now and stitch a pirate i found free on the web for Fraser :)

Feb 28th update on daisy

Update on daisy

I've made a start on page 3. Its difficult finding the time but i am determined to finish this year. I am going to post more updates on here to help keep up my motivation :)
