butterfly notebook

I've just realised when updating my blog that I never took a picture of this little notebook. It's been in my handbag a month I stitched on 28cr to see how easy it would be to do a haed. It's not easy with my eyesight so won't be doing one soon lol

Margaret Sherry Christmas Mice

I've just finished these cute Christmas mice. I've changed some of the threads. I've used rayon, whisper and metallic for a little extra shine, texture and glitz :-)

Koi carp

Here's the lucky koi carp I stitched for Fraser. We have a pond with koi carp and he asked me to stitch this pattern from an old issue of wocs. It's taken longer because my vision is getting worse in my right eye but it was worth it. I used a tester pot of paint on an old frame which I think sets the stitching off perfectly. It's now hanging in his bedroom. I'm doing small projects for a while now until I sort my eye out :-)

GUTTED!!

I just wanted to look at my piczo sites and they have been taken over!! They now forward you to some sales sites. I've now lost pictures of years of work :-( I'm going to take pictures of projects I still have and put them on here in the next few days and weeks.

My new wip Lucky koi carp

Its taken 5 long weeks to get my project back from the framers but here it is :-) Still not sure if I picked the right frame but none of the others looked right. Its now hanging on my wall :-)

butterfly magnet

Another little butterfly magnet to add to my collection on my mirror :) This was a freebie from cross stitched. It was for a purse but I didn't  like the purse. Its stitched on 14ct plastic canvas.

sunny days angel finished (dimensions)

Sunny days angel finished last night. I love dimensions kits but they are so stingy with threads. I never waste but still ran out of yellow thread. One of the lazy daisies is a lighter shade of yellow but it looks okay. The lazy daisies took some getting used to but I mastered them eventually :-)

All 33880 stitches finished today. The photo doesn't do it justice. Ive enjoyed stitching this and can't wait to see it framed and on my wall. I am going to concentrate on smaller projects for a while now until I get my eyes and health sorted out.

The end is in sight, I've just finished page 5, I hope to finish this in the next few weeks. Ive just been in the framers looking for ideas. I've seen a couple of frames I like :-)

First update of 2014

This is my first update this year, I've had health problems but feeling much better now. The heritage cat from wocs is the only Christmas card I managed but was worth it. I am over half way through page 4 of 6 of attention. The last two charts are small so looking forward to finishing it. :)
